When on July 16 th, 2005 we organized the event Live chess for the first time, nobody had the slightest idea how it would end. To watch a blindman chess game with live chessmen on the big chessboard is not possible every day, and when we add a fact, that the duel was played by two grand masters with their eyes covered, it is probably rare everywhere in the world.

Our fears of possible imperfections during the first blindman chess game are gone, and we look forward to the next one (this year will be fifth years volume), which, as we hope, will be more successful than all events in the past. The media were quite interested in this event. For example, the event was every year covered by the radio Expres, radio Regina , radio Twist, TV JOJ. It was also advertised on television STV and Markíza and others media.
This year's event at Holy Trinity Square in Banská Štiavnica will be the most accurate copy of the medieval period. We want to grasp the main attributes of the Middle Ages and we will bring you in a strange and mysterious atmosphere of that time, which you haven't had a chance to experience so far and thus you can bring a change into your everyday life for a while. You can admire chess – the royal game, craftsmen skills, courage and strength of medieval warriors, melancholy of clothes of that time and even a real fight for life. Let's have a look at the medieval way of life and become a part of a big game and experience together this attractive summer event. This royal game can enreach us. Let's go seven centuries back and enjoy magic of that time in the royal game in a free royal town. In the first event in Banská Štiavnica an exhibition blindman game with live chessmen was held between grand masters Igor Štohl and Sergej Movsesian. After fierce fight the game ended with draw and then additional quick game was played with ordinary chessmen. Sergej Movsesian became and at the end he was awarded by representatives of the town as a 2005 chess king of Banská Štiavnica.

Next year (2006) was game held between grand masters David Navara and Sergej Movsesian, year 2007 Zbyněk Hráček and Sergej, year 2008 Ján Markoš and Sergej. Every year won Sergej Movsesian. This year 2009 is game hold between Viktor Láznička and Sergej Movsesian.
