Medieval martial and hunting arts – The performance of fence and hunting arts will be an equal part of the festival. There are a lot of fence groups dedicated to the Gothie period in Slovakia . Among performers in Banská Štiavnica are fencers from Zvolen (Ancile), Martin (Diadém), Banská Štiavnica and Krupina (Vlčí tesák).

Fence performances will show not only medieval military traditions, but they will also be an attractive complement and relaxation of serious chess game. Fencers from Banská Štiavnica and Krupina will also play live chessmen, where they will perform individual chess moves in the way of fence details.

Mr. Filiač and Mr. Šlauka with their friends will prepare a daylong archery course on the ground of Art school. Thanks to these archery masters handling of crossbows will become an easy game even for children. Special crossbows and targets are prepared for them. Adults will be able to try real imitations of crossbows and bows.

Falcon group of St. Bavon from Banská Štiavnica will introduce not only birds of pray, but also techniques of feeding, training and hunting with hawks, falcons, eagles and other birds of pray. Visitors will able to have a look at parts of falconers' equipment in their stand. Historical clothes and professional explanation will be natural parts of improvised falconers' course.

This is a small space at Holy Trinity Square suitable for small riding school. Horses will be provided by Mr. Ondrej Binder from Ranč Nádej from St. Anton. Since the riding on historical flag-stone paring is demanding horses will be let by experienced riders.

A medieval craft fair – Hundreds of craftsmen will be invited to the festival at Holy Trinity Square . With regard to armaments and metalwork, they will create the atmosphere of historic fair.

You will have a chance to admire woodcarving and other historic craft skills. Historic clothes for craftsmen will be provided by organizing staff. Seattering bales of hay and presenting live domestic animals will underline the medieval fair atmosphere. It will be possible to taste historic food – fish, poultry, roasting bull, wine from Sebechleby, Pukanec and Hontianske Nemce. Then, there will be a chess costume parade, fire show, historic music, dancing and theatre performances.
